The Substitute Teacher Training Program (STTP) is a two-day workshop designed to enhance instruction and help prepare participants to deal with situations that arise in the classroom. Participants are divided into Elementary (K-6) and Secondary (7-12) break-out sessions.

The following topics will be covered:
Credential Information Classroom Management Special Education (Inclusion)
Legal Responsibilities Being a Professional Substitute Emergency Curriculum
Instructional Strategies Hiring Process/Resume/Interview Tips Challenging Scenarios

At the end of the two-day training, participants receive a Certificate of Completion. In order to receive the Certificate, participants must attend both days of training.

The fee is $70.00 per participant. Payment may be made in cash or by check, payable to the San Diego County Office of Education or SDCOE. Please note your fee is non-refundable. Your pre-payment guarantees your reservation.
